Zahra graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor’s degrees in Physiotherapy.

Zahra has many years of experience working as a sport trainer and team physio for both AFL and soccer teams where she specialised in injury assessment and management. This experience provided Zahra the opportunity to advance her skills in acute injury assessment, as well as addressing the unique challenges associated with sports related injuries, exercise rehabilitation and prescription, and return to sport rehabilitation.

Zahra has also developed a deep interest in the management of neck and lower back pain, shoulder pathology and injuries, as well as acute and chronic knee pain. She has completed further training and post grad education on these areas and plans to continue to develop her expertise on these areas.

Prior to starting at Kardinya Physiotherapy Zahra worked as a mobile physio and gained a wealth of experience assessing and treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neurological problems including: Osteoarthritis of the hip, knee, back and neck; vertigo and dizziness; pre and post op rehabilitation for various procedures including ACL reconstruction, Total Hip and Knee Replacements, shoulder arthroscopy and rotator cuff repair to name a few.

Zahra is also experienced in postural correction, managing postural related pain, as well as ergonomic assessments.

In practice, Zahra is a big believer in equipping her clients with knowledge about their body and condition and enabling them to become more self-reliant while learning effective ways to manage their condition.

Zahre is a big believer in Clinical Pilates and how powerful it is as a rehabilitation and treatment tool. She is currently completing training to become a certified Pilates Practitioner and is looking forward to using this with her clients at Kardinya.

Outside of work, she is into keeping physically fit, regularly attending gym, and yoga sessions, and enjoys hiking. Not only does Zahra know firsthand how exercise and being outside contributes to her own well-being but also how it enhances her understanding of holistic health practices that she brings into her professional approach for each of her patients
